Internships

The following are funding opportunities for U.S. engineering students to go abroad:

• National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) (http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5284) selects approximately 250 U.S. graduate students per year to conduct research in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, or Taiwan for 8-10 weeks in the summer.
• The Central Europe Summer Research Institute (CESRI) (http://www.iie.org/en/Programs/CESRI) supports Masters or Ph.D. students in science or engineering to spend eight weeks conducting lab research in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, or Slovakia.
