Terman Engineering Library
The Frederick Emmons Terman Engineering Library is on the second floor of the Huang Engineering Center.
The library is named in honor of the former professor of Electrical Engineering, dean of the School of Engineering and university provost to recognize his contributions to the school, the greater Stanford community and the field of radio engineering.
The Terman Engineering Library supports the research and teaching of the departments of Physics and Applied Physics and the research labs and institutes of the following School of Engineering departments:
- Aeronautics & Astronautics
- Bioengineering
- Civil & Environmental Engineering
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Management Science & Engineering
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
The library provides study space, computer workstations, printers, copiers and scanners. Materials placed on reserve for classes can be checked out from the front desk of the library. Print and online books, journals and research databases are listed in the Stanford University Libraries online catalog, SearchWorks. Specialized resources to support the research areas within the School of Engineering are listed on the Engineering Library homepage and on the topic guides created for each department.
The library has three Engineering subject specialists, the Physics librarian, a technology manager and three library specialists to answer your questions and help you get the resources you need for your projects and research.
