Ken Goodson: How the School of Engineering is taking on COVID-19
A School of Engineering senior associate dean discusses the myriad ways his colleagues throughout the school are discovering new — and often surprising — approaches to combating COVID-19.
Stanford Engineering is renowned for its interdisciplinary approach to just about any challenge facing the world today.
That includes fighting COVID-19. From the very beginning of the pandemic, faculty have worked across the school’s many departments and institutes — as well as Stanford’s schools, including the School of Medicine — to come up with novel approaches to a novel challenge. In this presentation, Ken Goodson, a professor of mechanical engineering and the school’s senior associate dean for faculty and academic affairs, highlights just a few of his colleagues’ COVID-19-related efforts. Watch now, and learn more about some of these projects here.
